Harry on a Monday
Top 1/8 of Sirius to appear in GOF?
We've received a report from a self-proclaimed "hardcore Sirius fan" EDITOR'S NOTE: I DON'T THINK WE WANT TO KNOW WHAT ISSUES THIS PERSON IS DEALING WITH, EH? who recently visited the set letting us know that Gary Oldman/Sirius Black will only be appearing in his CGI form in the Goblet of Fire movie.
If true, this probably means Sirius's head will be the only part of him appearing in the movie (think fireplace scene). EDITOR'S NOTE: YEP. WAY AHEAD OF YA.....
POA wins two Visual Effects Awards
At its third annual awards show, the Visual Effects Society awarded Prisoner of Azkaban with awards for "Outstanding Visual Effects" and "Outstanding Performance by an Animated Character." (HIPPOGRIFF CHARACTER) EDITOR'S NOTE: BUCKBEAK ROCKS!
Romance for Harry in HBP
Bloomsbury has added a book 6 countdown to their site.
Yesterday, if you clicked on the 14th, a new window opened up showing a picture hinting at a romance for Harry in Half-Blood Prince EDITOR'S NOTE: GINNY? (SHE ASKS, HOPEFULLY.....)
Filming for Goblet of Fire to end March 18th
The International Movie Database has updated their GOF listing to make an additional note, reading: "Principle photography finishes 18 March 2005".
This falls right in place with WB's expected time frame. You might recall that filming began almost a year ago on March 22nd, 2004. But this date could easily change if they need additional time.
And remember what WB said about a trailer in March?EDITOR'S NOTE: REALLY?! GIGGLING AND DROOLING!!!!!
Pics from NYC Toy Fair
Pictures of the new Goblet of Fire-themed toys EDITOR'S NOTE: THERE WERE BUNCHES, BUT MOST WITH VERY GRAINY PICS. I'M SURE SOME BETTER ONES WILL BE POSTED ON THE WEB SOON. IN THE MEANTIME, HERE ARE A COUPLE OF THE BETTER PICS.
- The entire display
- Skulls, dragons, and more
HBP updates at Scholastic.com
As it's now apparent Scholastic will be doing lots of updates between now and July 16th, the US book publisher has added a new poll to the Shrieking Shack.
While it asks the same question as the previous, the top 12 winners from the last one are the only people you can now vote on. They've also created a Half-Blood Prince locker poster in PDF format for printing. EDITOR'S NOTE: ANDREW - YOU'LL LIKE THIS POSTER. IT'S ALL THE BOOK ART THAT YOU PREFER TO THE WB MOVIE-BASED STUFF.
